Aromatherapy history

Aromatherapy is an old art that has been incorporated in these years of quick changes and fast living.

This discipline gives a therapeutic use of the pure aromas for a natural treatment and an important complement to help reestablish our balance and harmony.

Essence oils have many properties that produce stimuli in the human being and become in an invaluable element of wellbeing.

The use of essentials come from ages ago and has references in all cultures and religions.
In Ancient times, the Egyptians, about 40 centuries B.C. made preparations with essential oils that were used in medicine, cosmetics, and baths to harmonize the temples.

The Egyptians started the art of extracting the essences of the plants heating them up in clay pots; and the Greek alchemists, preserving the fragrance and healing properties invented the distillation to obtain essential oils.

The use of scents comes from millenniums ago in China, India and Persia. The Vedas also used oils for their medicine.

The medicine-aromatic vegetables produce scents, which are extracted by distillation and pressure; there are also methods for some particulars species.
